💰 Weekly Pay | Ad-Hoc & Ongoing OpportunitiesDriver Hire Edinburgh City are currently recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers to work with a variety of well-established clients across Edinburgh and the surrounding areas.Whether you’re looking to pick up extra shifts, work around existing commitments or keep your availability flexible, we have a range of Class 1 assignments available.🚛 The RoleThe work will vary depending on the assignment, giving you the opportunity to work across a range of different driving roles.Duties may include:
- Trunking and general haulage
- Palletised deliveries and collections
- Depot-to-depot work
- Deliveries to commercial and customer locations
- Multi-drop deliveries where required
- Loading and unloading goods where required
- Carrying out daily vehicle safety checks
- Ensuring loads are secure and transported safely
- Completing delivery paperwork accurately
- Following road transport legislation and health & safety procedures
- Providing a professional and reliable service to customers
With a variety of clients and assignments available, the work can vary from shift to shift.🕒 Shifts & Hours
- Flexible ad-hoc shifts
- Day shifts
- Back shifts
- Night shifts
- Weekday and weekend work
- Typical shift lengths of 8-12 hours
- Minimum 8 hours’ pay guaranteed per shift
- Shifts available depending on client requirements and your availability
💷 Pay RatesPAYE
- £15.50 per hour
- £20.66 per hour after 8 hours
PAYE Advanced
- £17.37 per hour
- £23.15 per hour after 8 hours

✅ What We’re Looking For
- Valid UK Class 1 (Category C+E) licence
- Valid Driver CPC qualification
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card
- Previous Class 1 driving experience
- Maximum 9 penalty points
- No DD, DR, CD or IN endorsements
- Reliable, punctual and professional
- Safety-conscious attitude
- Good communication skills
- Flexible and willing to work different assignments
